Hi, where can i find the Waldorf homeschooling curriculum? I’m 5 months pregnant and was wondering maybe if i’ll have time to learn it before my baby goes to kindergarten. Is ok to teach him the Waldorf way while he goes to a regular school?
By the way, thanks for the information regarding the Gamot Cogon school, will check it out. Thank you for all the information you have shared.
Hi Ingrid,
The homeschooling curriculum applies to the grades, which begin at around age 7. You can mostly find these online. There are different programs available. But for early childhood, it is very different. Children learn by imitation and the parents (and other adults around the child) must then strive to be good examples, doing purposeful work with their hands, holding the space, being upright. There’s a link to RStep on the home page. Please click on it to see when the next Early Childhood Training will be. That is something worth looking into.
I wish you the best on this journey.

hi panjee!
my son, powee is now grade 7 at maria montessori and i was thinking of moving him to acacia. does acacia have a high school program?
thanks so much.
jennie
Hi Jennie,
Sorry for the delayed response. No high school program as of this time. I’m already resigned to mainstream schooling for high school for my 7th grader. They have 8th grade, so we have one more grade to go, then we’re on our own. The Manila Waldorf School in Timberland Heights has a high school, but it’s all the way north.
I hope this helps.
Panjee
Hi Panjee,
I got your blog address from Sujata of St. Michael’s Playground.
We are about to launch our glamomamas website online and I am very interested to feature St. Michael’s Playground and the Waldorf education system. I was wondering if we could possibly link to your blog and publish your article on the site (with you as a contributor of course).
Let me know if this might be something that interests you.
Many thanks,
Amanda
Hello Amanda,
Sure. Happy to help.
All the best,
Panjee
Hi,
I’m sorry for asking this but could you please give me a ballpark figure regarding the tuition costs for a Waldorf Steiner education? I’m looking into Manila Waldorf but I’m a little bit intimidated by the costs
Hi. I can’t speak for Manila Waldorf as my kids don’t go there, but at our school it’s 95k annually for the grades. I hope this helps.
hi Panjee! I’m researching on Waldorf school and I heard the one in QC costs around 45k per year, was wondering which one your sons go to, is it at the Acacia school or the one in Makati that’s why it’s more expensive?
hi panjee
your articles are a breath of fresh air. they are always well-written, insightful and make alot of sense.
you have a way of getting your thoughts across using the simplest of words and the clearest explanations. you are not afraid to challenge commonly-held beliefs.

Thank you very much, Andrea!!
Panjee and moms here,
Fear is natural for those who need more information on the unknown.
I’ve enrolled my 13 yr old daughter whom I’ve homeschooled since she was a toddler except for two years at Manresa (Prep & unfinished-1st Grade). From her mother’s womb to being a toddler, I focused on showering her with love and sending positive thoughts/words. As she turned 3, I started the basics and showed her the world, knowing God and being a good child while she’s enjoying being one.
Preschool years were homeschool. I followed the ‘spirit’ in her and lead her through. I showed her the world but kept her shielded from the unfavorable influences so that her accumulated memories are mostly positive.
A week ago, I enrolled her at Kolisko Waldorf as I found her ‘character foundation’ strong enough to face the world without me but with teachers who follow the same thinking process as mine in raising children. I find the system fitted for her as well.
We both will see if it truly is as we go through the daily learnings…together still.
I fear more traditional schools because children tend to be misguided and led to wrong ways which will become permanent fixtures in their character.
Following the Ways of Jesus has also been the foundation of my child’s development plus being a good model to her.
Sharing with you all my good news.
By the way, I’m a solo daddio to my Angel since she was 2.5 yrs of age. She’s very much a girl and very lovely and pure in every way. It’s me and her ‘against the world’.
Hi I have a 10mo old son.. And I’m looking into steiner/waldorf education.. Is there a school here in Davao?
Thanks
Hi Nicca. I was about to say there is no school in Davao at the moment, but then I got an email from someone who is part of the group that is starting one! Hooray. Please feel free to email her: maya flaminda vandenbroeck . I think they have an orientation coming up. ;p
Oh! Great! Thanks!
Dear Panjee,
Congratulations, for the great mommy moments you make and the passion you have for the kids! My husband and I feel that there is no nobler role than to be parents who make sure that children become not just successful individually but one who relates well to the upkeep of the society in due time. Family is indeed the basic unit of society, if we start from our own backyard then we are doing our share in providing a better world for all. And of course, parenting is just THE most fulfilling time in our life, c’mon!
Still hoping that there would be a Waldorf education in the Makati area. I just visited the Waldorf website and saw that there is a Makati-Waldorf school bus, and we “might” just be willing to give it a try. Am worried though about the strain it will make to our child.
OB Montessori in Sta Ana is the next best option for us because of the proximity and the approach. Another is home school (Bo Sanchez’ Filipino Academy). Hope to hear fellow parents’ feedback, direct messages to our email willandkay@gmail.com would be appreciated as well.
Thanks again and we salute you and the parents in this forum for enjoying parenthood! A happy home and healthy connection to our children are indeed the strongest foundation that we can give our kids.
hi panjee! i want to enroll my son to Kolisko Waldorf School. May i know if they are still accepting pupils at this time? When is their school opening? tnx
Hi Nini,
Please look for the Kolisko phone number on the front page of this blog and call them. I am not officially associated with any of the schools, but I have a child in the Acacia Waldorf School. That’s it. You’ll just have to call the school and find out. Salamat.
